Young Dancer Scholarships

Ballet Fantastique believes that the opportunity to study professional dance should be based on talent and passion, not on a family's financial ability to pay. With the help of a growing network of generous individuals and businesses, we give talented and dedicated student dancers of demonstrated financial need the opportunity to study classical ballet in the internationally-recognized Vaganova Syllabus within The Academy of Ballet Fantastique's award-winning pre-professional training program.

With a one-time contribution or a monthly pledge ($10 and up), you can make a true impact on a talented child's life, giving him or her the opportunity to study professional dance right alongside his or her more privileged peers. For these students, dance becomes an opportunity to build life skills including creativity, discipline, self-confidence, and determination. Training at Ballet Fantastique also gives them something to excel at, as well as a network of caring mentors and friends, and a "home away from home." Please become a part of our Scholarship Fund, and help us help these tremendously talented and passionate future artists of dance. On behalf of them, and from all of us, thank you so much.

$10-25/month: Help out a family who needs a little support to keep their son or daughter in dance. For many of our families, just a little help goes a long way!

$52/month: Make it possible for a youngster (age 4-7) from an underprivileged family to discover the joys of dance, building motor skills, self-confidence, and musicality–gifts that will last a lifetime.

$144-200/month: Enable an aspiring young artist to participate in a pre-professional course of study, making a real impact on a young person's dreams to dance.

Company Dancer Sponsorships & Pointe Shoes

Ballet Fantastique's company artists hail from across the U.S. and are deeply committed to their art. They spend 5-10 hours in the studio each day, working to perfect their art form and to prepare for our critically-acclaimed, all-original concert seasons. Our artists are also so committed to the growth and success of this "little ballet company that could," that you might also see them weilding hammers (helping with set construction), needles (helping with our critically-acclaimed costumes), or words (helping introduce kids to dance through Ballet Fantastique outreach programs in area schools). Most also hold other jobs, from baristas to dance teachers, and from waitresses to graphic designers.

When you sponsor a Ballet Fantastique company artist, a little goes a long way.Your gift in any amount is so appreciated and will help us grow into the world-class company that we are becoming. Thank you so much for your support!

Notes from the BFan company on what they need most:

$75: Pointe shoes! With all of the rehearsing that we do, many of us go through up to a pair a week. Having new pointe shoes is very important, since having new shoes with the proper support helps protect our feet. We'll recognize you as our sponsor in the performance program.

$225: Performance season pointe shoes. For $225, you can sponsor three pairs of pointe shoes for one of us, adopting us for the performance season (one pair per performance). We'll even give you signed a photograph of us in the performance piece, wearing the shoes that you helped us to get.

$700: Guest dancer! At Ballet Fantastique, we often have the privilege of bringing in amazing professional guest dancers to join us on stage. We have worked with guest dancers from across the country and the world. When you sponsor a guest dancer, you give us the chance to bring world-class artists on stage with us.

Italy Project

Italy Project!

Help send Ballet Fantastique to Italy! Ballet Fantastique has been invited to perform our critically-acclaimed, all-original wild-west ballet version of Shakespeare's romantic comedy As You Like It in the beautiful coastal city of San Benedetto, just three hours outside of Rome. The city is generously covering all expenses of production and travel upon our arrival, but we have to get there first! We're working away to raise money for our plane tickets, and already have $2200 raised towards our $8,000 goal.

Your support will help us reach new international audiences, unleash our imagination, and embark on our first European tour! To our knowledge, we are the FIRST U.S. BALLET COMPANY ever to perform in San Benedetto, and we are so excited! Your help will literally help us fly.
